Welcome to Surviving the Holidaze: A 30-Day Challenge
The holiday season isn’t always jolly for everyone. It can be a time of high stress. Fewer hours of daylight, unpredictable weather, travel, and social events filled with food and drink we wouldn’t otherwise dream of consuming, can leave our systems off balance. Some can’t wait to be around family, while others may struggle with the very people they’ll be seeing more of this season.
Your body and mind are happiest when you are in a state of calm. Drastic changes in eating, sleeping, digestion, and environment challenge this stability. Your system may even perceive these disruptions as a threat, releasing stress hormones like cortisol into your bloodstream. Factor in long lines, traffic jams, airports, and family dinners, and you have a prescription for intense emotion and unpleasant interactions.
This is an excellent time to slow down and care for yourself. Seem impossible? It doesn’t have to be. For the next thirty days, you’ll be receiving helpful challenges for getting you through the holiday season and beyond.
- Beginning November 1st (or tomorrow if you registered after the challenge began) you’ll receive an email right in your inbox for each day of the challenge. It will link you directly to your daily assignment. Each day’s assignment should take you no longer than 10 – 15 minutes to complete.
- We’ll have a weekly live Q&A call in the Selfologie Tribe Facebook Group during the month of November to discuss our progress, vent about any frustrations in a supportive community, and celebrate our wins in this challenge.
- The Live Q&A Calls will be held on: Monday, Nov 8, 15, 22, and 29th at 9:00pm EST. Calls will last around 30 mins.
- If you’re unable to make the Q&A live, no problem! The recorded replay will be available for you to watch any time in the group.
